5.2: Why do the boards have to be moderated?
| The boards are moderated so that the content will continuously maintain a high standard of excellence, that surpasses "normal" internet expectations. | 5.3: How do I know what is allowed on the MLPTP boards? |
Keep your eye firmly planted on this link: MLPTP Rules. Information changes from time in the rules section, and users of the MLPTP are expected to be familiar with them. Ignorance of the rules is not an acceptable excuse for not following them. It is imperative that users of the MLPTP Message Boards follow the rules, otherwise, those who abuse their freedom will have their ISP, their UserID, AND their email address banned from posting on the page.

5.6: Why do I have to register to use the MLPTP Message Boards?
In the past at the MLPTP, we have had trouble with mean-spirited people impersonating others on the message boards. With EZboard's login system, you will have a unique ID, and people will not be able to impersonate you or post using your name, unless they have your password. *Note: NEVER share your EZboard password with ANYONE!

5.7 How do I set it up so that other users can see my email address?
If you want your email address available to the public, you can choose to do so in your Public Profile. To do this, login to your Control Center (this link can be found right under the NEW TOPIC button on any of the message boards, called "My Control Center"). Then, click the "Edit Profile" button and look for the "Email Address" heading. After entering your email address in the provided space, put a check in the box next to "Publicize Email Address" and click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page. Once you do this, people will be able to click on your name, and have access to your email address! You can also include your email address in your personal signature. Please refer to EZboard's help section for additional assistance.

5.8: Is there an easy way for me to see when the MLPTP message boards have been updated?
The only way for you to see updates on the message boards, is for you to actually view one of the boards (like the Buy board). People are generally posting messages every day, and the latest post will be at the top of the screen with the date of the last post.
Main FAQ - Top
5.9: Why doesn't this email address I got from a post work?
Each post, and signature is hand typed by the person that posts it. Sometimes, people make spelling errors, and at other times, their mail server could be down. If all else fails, try posting on the MLPTP Discussion Board to let the person know that their email address is not working. If they visit often, they will see your post!
Main FAQ - Top
5.10: How do I see old ads? Is there an archive?
Old posts are automatically deleted from the server, not archived. Once they are deleted, there is no bringing them back.
Main FAQ - Top
5.11: Is there a board that I can use to buy, sell, or trade my non-MLP 80's toys?
Yes! Check out Fairlie's 80's toys website: Aussie Toy Trade. Here you will find EZboard forums for toy trading for both Australian and international toy lovers.
Main FAQ - Top
5.12: Why does it say "Bushwoolie" under my name when I post? How can I change this?
The title "Bushwoolie" and others, are the fixed custom levels set by the admin of the MLPTP boards. You cannot manually change these. The only way to change your level, is to post! As your post counts go higher, your level changes.

5.13: What are those little icons next to people's nicknames? Where can I get one?
Those little icons are personal icons. They are 10x10 pixels in size, and can be custom made, or you can use one from EZboard's list of available icons. To set your own personal icon, please check out EZboard's instructions here. You can also use one of these great icons made by our own Pixie Pony here.

5.14: I can't stay logged into EZboard. AUGH, help!
If you are using Internet Explorer, do the following: Find your "Internet Options" in the menus (usually the "Tools" menu) and click on the Security tab. There will be an up-down lever there. You want to move the lever all the way to the bottom, so that your security setting are set to "low". That should do it! (Note: Different versions of IE/Windows may look a little different.) If you'd rather not set your security to low, you can make the boards and the MLPTP trusted sites. If you do this, use the following URLs: ("http://pub136.ezboard.com/fmlptpmessageboards" and "http://www.mlptp.com").
Main FAQ - Top
5.15: What should I do if I see an offensive post that should be locked, edited, or deleted?
An email sent to abuse@mlptp.com containing your board ID, and a link to the offending post is the best way to have this taken care of. The moderators will review the situation, and determine which action needs to be taken to clean up the post. The more offensive the post, the more likely a post (or thread) will be deleted.
Main FAQ - Top
5.16: How do I get my topic pinned up?
Unfortunately, requests for pinned topics have become too frequent to accomodate all requests. Topics will be selected for pinning at the sole discretion of the moderators, depending on global nature of the announcement, and value to the community. Please DO NOT contact the moderators (no emails, no posts) asking for your topic to be pinned!
Main FAQ - Top
5.17: When I try to view one of the boards, it says I'm banned, but I can see the others just fine! What's happening?
This is a glitch on EZboard's end. It is recommended that you close your browser, and reload the site. If that doesn't work, just wait it out a bit - you will be able to access the site eventually.
Main FAQ - Top
5.18: I'm new to the site, why am I only allowed to post 5 times a day? Can this be increased?
To limit the damage spammers and trolls can do to the MLPTP boards, daily posting limits were activated for new members. We will not lift the posting restriction under any circumstances. If you like the site, and want to be able to post more, stick around and post reasonably for a few days. Eventually your post restriction will be lifted automatically.
Main FAQ - Top
5.19: Every time I click on a message board link, it keeps redirecting me to the main site. How do I stop this?
Sometimes, IE doesn't fully load all the javascript on the MLPTP. To fix this problem, close your browser, and reload the site. Also, make sure that you are not opening the boards in a new window.
