| 4.1: How Do I register my nickname? |
| To register your nickname, you need only to type this once:

| Each time you join, enter your nickname in the blank, and click on the "Connect Now" button. Wait until you can see the list of people who are currently in the chat room to the right, then type:

| 4.4: When I load up the chat window, I only get a blank white screen. How can I fix this? |
| The java chat room can only be viewed with either Internet Explorer 4.0 (and higher), or Netscape 4.0 (and higher). Check your browser version, and make sure that java is enabled. If you are an AOL user, you will not be able to use the AOL web browser to use the chat. |

| 4.5: The chat is telling me that it "cannot connect to server". Help? |
| Sometimes the server that hosts the chat is down. Give it about five minutes, and then try it again. Usually downtime is relatively short. |

| 4.6: The "Connect Now" button is missing when I try to join the chat room. Where'd it go? |
| The chat room window is designed for 600x800 (and larger) sized resolutions. If you are running in 640x480 pixel screen size, you may not be able to see the connect button. To see it, close the window, and then instead of LEFT clicking on Snuzzle and Cotton Candy, right click on them, and open the link in a new window. You should now be able to scroll down to click on the "Connect Now" button. |

| 4.7: Does this chat connect to an IRC server? |
| Yes. The javachat room is a front end to a full service IRC server. |

| 4.8: Can I use a different IRC client than the MLPTP's javachat window to connect the chat room? |
| Yes, you can. If you have a different client, like mIRC or IRCle, you can attach to the MLPTP chat room with the following information:
