2.1: Why was the MLPTP created, and how long ago?

The MLPTP was created on October 12th 1996, because, believe it or not, there was only one other web site on the web at the time that featured MLP as the main attraction: Magic in the Making. With only one other MLP site in existance, I had a notion that an interactive page for MLP collectors would be a success because I had seen personal sites, and "about me" pages that had one repeated sentence that caught my eye: "I love My Little Ponies!". An avid collector back in 1996, I thought that there had to be other collectors out there, and that a community site for placing free classified ads would be a great place to bring other MLP collectors together.

2.2: What happened to Magic in the Making?

This page no longer exists. but I recently heard that the creator may be starting it up again. Basically, this page was the first web page to talk about MLP in any detail, and feature the collector's want/trade/sale lists.

2.3: So, the MLPTP was the second major web page that featured MLP?

Yes, as far as I know.

2.4: Some say that Dream Valley came before the MLPTP. Is that true?

No, that's a rumor! If you will notice, the earliest copyright date on Dream Valley is 1997. The MLPTP began in 1996.
